National Engineers Day celebrated at St. Martin’s Engineering College on September 15th to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. He is Popularly called as ‘Sir MV’. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya is the man behind India’s early infrastructure development, education, and social welfare. Executive Director and Group Director paid their tributes to Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary and said, ‘Sir MV’, is an inspiration for our talented and skilled engineers who contributed significantly in the development of the Nation.
In his speech Executive Director Sri G.Chandrasekhar Yadav Garu stressed on the development of required skill for the young engineers is our primary focus.
In his speech Group Director Dr P. Santosh Kumar Patra Sir reminded Sir Visweswraya's contribution in making a modern India especially his beneficiation to Hyderabad in controlling floods. He also said that the Engineering fraternity is responsible for the country's growth and thanks all the members of the fraternity for choosing to be an Engineer and moreover a teacher.
